Versions

There are four different GeoIntelis versions:

• GeoIntelis Basic provides a shared GIS and project coordination environment on an all-include subscription, and a Software-as-a-Service basis. This does not include a subscription data package. This version is intended for companies that plan to collect or publish only their own data.
• GeoIntelis Pro with Data Package provides the full features of GeoIntelis, plus an industry-specific and region-specific data package that is updated and maintained for the client by the GeoIntelis team.
• GeoIntelis Dedicated provides the full features of GeoIntelis, with or without a data package, and hosted on a private, dedicated server devoted exclusively to one clients’ use.
• GeoIntelis Enterprise is a software license allowing a client to install GeoIntelis on their own server, in their own data center, and to integrate GeoIntelis with local data sources and applications.

General Features of All Versions

• All versions include all software and interface features of GeoIntelis.
• All versions allow for one or more users to share a secure, private GeoIntelis environment on a per-user, per-year subscription basis.
• New users can be added to an account at any time. Fees are pro-rated to the nearest month in an annual subscription term.
• Each subscriber receives 2GB of storage space for documents, files, saved locations and client data layers. Additional space is available instantly, on-demand.
• Storage space is cumulative across subscribers in any account, so an account with 5 subscribers will have 10GB of storage space, accessible to all users of the account.
• Client data layers must be either a “shapefile” or a spreadsheet (Excel, CSV, tab-delimited) containing one address or latitude/longitude pair per line or record.
• Client data is e-mailed or uploaded to a secure FTP site and then loaded within 24 hours by GeoIntelis staff. Client self-service map layer uploads are expected within 6 months.
• All subscriptions are pre-paid using a check, bank draft or credit card.

GeoIntelis Basic

GeoIntelis Basic provides subscribers with all the features of GeoIntelis, but without a specific data package. This level is perfect for companies that primarily want to use GeoIntelis for publishing their own data for internal use, or to report to clients and partners.

• GeoIntelis subscriptions are available on a per-user, per-year basis with access to all features and client data.
• Includes free loading of up to 5 client data layers per annual quarter.

GeoIntelis Pro with Data Package

GeoIntelis Pro subscriptions with data packages include full updating and management of data available for research.

• Data is packaged into per-state, per-area or per-country data sets.
• Most data is updated at least annually and many data sets are updated quarterly or monthly.
• Certain premium packages are updated daily.

• Includes free loading of up to 5 data layers of client data per annual quarter.

GeoIntelis Dedicated

GeoIntelis Dedicated is perfect for organizations with high volume service demand, the highest security requirements, specialized customizations, specialized integrations to other systems or extremely large data sets.

• All GeoIntelis Dedicated services include a dedicated server with full server management, daily incremental backup, weekly full backup and a variety of other management services. Please see our Dedicated Managed server description here.
• All dedicated GeoIntelis servers can be supplied with any combination of data package.
• Data volume is limited only by the hard drive size of your dedicated server, and upgrades can be made at any time.
• This service level allows for direct connection of desktop GIS software directly to the geospatial database.

GeoIntelis Enterprise

Organizations requiring an on-site installation of GeoIntelis on their own servers, using their own software licenses, will purchase GeoIntelis Enterprise.

• Allows clients to scale the solution to meet their own needs.
• Clients can manage their own security.
• Integrate with local data sources and systems.
• Easily upload their own data from either flat data sources.
• Connect with desktop GIS software.
• GeoIntelis Enterprise requires the purchase of a GeoIntelis Enterprise software license and a 1-year maintenance and support agreement.
• Annual maintenance agreement provides all software updates and upgrades.
